30-Day Launch Plan for UK Cleaning Businesses

Starting a cleaning business is not the hard part. Building one that is legal, profitable, and repeatable is where most people stumble. This guide gives you a simple thirty day path to move from hustle to structure. You will set the right foundation with registration, banking, insurance, contracts, and compliance. You will build a brand people can find and trust. You will create operations that deliver the same quality every time, with proof that wins reviews and referrals.

Each day has one clear task that takes you from zero to a working system. By the end of week four you will have packaged services, pricing that pays, a booking flow that converts, a review engine, and a routine that keeps leads coming in. I have coached owners across the UK through this exact journey. Follow the steps, keep it simple, and let structure do the heavy lifting. When you want hands-on support, I am ready to guide you from scratch to profitability to scale.

Week 1:  Set your foundations

Day 1: Pick your niche and service area. Decide: domestic, commercial, Airbnb, end of tenancy.
Day 2: Choose structure and register: sole trader or limited company, register with HMRC.
Day 3: Open a business bank account and set up bookkeeping.
Day 4: Arrange insurance: public liability as a minimum, add employers’ liability if hiring.
Day 5: Create your legal pack: contract, terms, cancellation policy, H&S policy, COSHH and RAMS templates.
Day 6: Build three simple packages with fixed scope: Basic, Deep Clean, End of Tenancy.
Day 7: Publish a one-page site or booking form with WhatsApp click-to-chat and clear pricing.
